External Hard drive
An external hard drive is a type of hard disk drive which is externally connected to a computer. It is portable and comes handy when needed. The user may store or back-up important data such as sensitive documents, large music files, videos, movies and even backup the contents of the primary internal hard drive. It can transfer enormous files back and forth from home and work, to a another location or even between your desktop and laptop. Any PC that has a USB or Firewire compatible could identify the external hard drive as a storage device. Then it can be accessed like the main internal hard drive which can be turned on and off anytime you need it. |
