Cat5E
 Category 5e or Cat5E superseded the original Cat 5 twisted pair cable. Designed for high signal integrity, this cable is used for interconnecting the Ethernet ports of computers and computer networks. This cable is most widely used by PBX integrators to carry signals of basic voice services. Other devices that utilizes this cable with 1000BASE-T connectors include token ring and ATM of shorter distances. Cat 5e cable is not capable of Ethernet connections longer 328 ft (100 m). |
